Conquering The "Oh Crap" Factor In Your Success

You know inevitably Murphy's Law will kick in no matter how positive you are and your best laid plans will trip on a hitch. This doesn't have to derail you.

I get reminded of this lesson all the time. Success happens in spite of my luck often times. Much of success in life is about figuring out the most likely mistakes or accidents that can happen and planning how to manage them when they do happen.

You can save face many times by simply spending an hour creating contingency plans for your action plans. Here is my bullet proof formula for conquering the inevitable adversity in your life.

1. When setting goals and the corresponding action plans, think "real world" and figure out your most likely problems.

2. Dedicate your resolve to achieving the goals no matter what.

2. Come up with at least 1 or 2 solutions to the probable problems.

3. When the problem occurs, look at is as a challenge rather than a problem. By simply changing your perspective on the situation, you can be better equipped to deal with it.

4. Keep going. Don't get discouraged and what ever you do, never give up.

Successful people don't have every detail go right, they simply learn to conquer the challenges as they come up. A little dose of laughter about the absurdity of a "problem" can take you a lot further than getting angry, discouraged or dejected about it.

Now get out there and make it happen whatever it takes!

All the best!

Happy Valentine's Day - Some thoughts about love and success

I've often thought it was funny how we commemorate little pockets of feelings or people into a single day of the year rather than carrying the spirit of these holidays every single day. I guess now more than ever, our lives move so quickly that we often forget to stop and smell the roses.

I've nothing against a holiday celebration I guess I'm just a bit more immersive in my nature.

Since today is the day all about love, I'd like to talk about love and success. I've been both rich and poor at various times of my life. My economic well being rarely, if ever, produced my feelings about success and happiness. Love is the defining driver of happiness in my opinion. To love and be loved goes to our core desires.

On this special day of love, I'd like to remind you of the importance of it in our lives. Whether you are married or single, gay or straight, have family or not, take time to appreciate and express the love you feel and receive not just today but everyday.

It's important to share your feelings every day because we never know when it will be the last time to be able to share with someone. Love fully, love completely and live without regrets.

Most of all, remember that the surest way to receive love is to first give it.

Happy Valentine's Day!

All the best!

Success Through Sales: How to take a lousy salesperson and make them better than your best!

When it comes to marketing I've done very well in business. I can get the word out on a product or service and get qualified prospects to a sales page and see income generate itself. In stark contrast, trying to sell face to face or over the phone has been a bit more challenging to me. This was a source of dismay for me because I know that sales is one of the highest paying "jobs" out there.

As my life would have it, through incredible synchronicity I met a new friend. His name is O.L. Houston. O.L. has been a top salesman throughout his entire career and he's achieved it by bringing in psychology to his selling. I've spent quite a bit of time with O.L. and he has drilled into me a new paridigm shift in the way I approach sales. Basically he taught me how to profile my customers in about 8 seconds and then tailor my sales approach and timing to the individual customer. I've tested this method out and it is nothing short of incredible!

What would an increase of 25% in your sales do for you and your business? What could your sales team achieve if they all increased their sales 25%?

If you want to learn to sell in a way that lets the customer sell themselves you owe it to yourself to stop by Sales Training
and listen to the free audio. I'm certain you'll see the power of this system the way I did.

All the best!
